“In the beginning…” Gen. 1:1; John 1:1
God explained the beginning of the world in Genesis, and used the gospel of John as one means to explain the beginning of Jesus’ life on earth, and so I take this time to explain POWER and this Blog.
Creation: This blog is the product of preaching at the 2016 Family Conference, a 4-day retreat with families gathering to hear God’s word 9 times, 3 different preachers, as well as other special events during the week, titled “Revive”, especially of Pastor Gary Hendrix in his morning session on July 28th, “Can We Do Anything to Help Bring About Revival?”.
You can listen to that here: Sermon
I came away from that sermon with a great desire to rally women to start praying for God to work throughout the world in renewing hearts to seek Him, thus PRAYER OF WOMEN ENTREATING for REVIVAL. Throughout the conference, reference was made to times when God had brought revival and that prayer had proceeded such times, thus Pastor Hendrix’s title above. See Purpose
James 5:17-18 “Elijah was a man with feelings just like us. He prayed fervently that it would not rain, and it did not rain in the land for three years and six months. And again Elijah prayed, and the heavens poured rain on the land and the earth produced the harvest.” ULB-EN
Although we cannot demand results from our prayers, there is power in them–God’s power, for He is the Almighty, and God is pleased that His people call to Him.
